About Me

In one of my previous jobs, there was an employee newsletter where each month I would write a small column on different topics: movies I’ve seen, places I’ve traveled or concerts I’ve been to. I’m not sure how we came up with this but the name of the column would change depending on the topic: Movie Chick, Travel Chick, Rock Chick etc. It just seemed to fit! 

Webster’s says “chick” could be construed as offensive when used in reference to a woman or girl but I don’t see it that way.  To me a Chick, (capital C, non poultry) refers to women who are a lot of fun, a little cool but also a little tough. I don’t know if I can live up to my own definition but I certainly will keep trying!

P.S. This is not my car! 

In starting this blog, I didn't want to be limited to just one topic such as travel or books. I am 50 something, single, no kids. I am living my best life, as they say, and it is full of multiple experiences that include traveling, movies, concerts & a wide range of geekdoms!  Blogging about just one would be extremely boring to me.   I won’t be solving the world’s problems or fixing the national debt (I can barely fix my own!) but I hope each month’s issue will bring a new and interesting topic for you to enjoy.
